Order Queue - Producer, Consumer & Dashboard

A order processing system that accepts orders quickly, processes them asynchronously, and provides a live delivery dashboard.

Architecture

  • Order Service : Receives and validates incoming orders.
  • Message Queue : Buffers orders for reliable asynchronous processing.
  • Order Collector : Consumes queued orders and persists them to PostgreSQL.
  • Delivery Dashboard : Displays order and delivery status in real time.
  • Gateway : Routes dashboard and API traffic through a shared public endpoint.

Request Flow

  1. A client submits an order through the API.
  2. The order is placed on the queue immediately.
  3. The consumer processes the order in the background.
  4. Processed orders are stored in PostgreSQL.
  5. The dashboard presents the latest delivery status.
