File Uploader

A simple file-upload service built with Shoal and Google Cloud Storage. This blueprint demonstrates how to deploy a containerized application, expose it through a Shoal gateway, and connect it to a private bucket for storing uploaded files.

Features

  • Upload files through an HTTP endpoint
  • Store uploaded files in a Google Cloud Storage bucket
  • Keep bucket access private and restricted to the application
  • Deploy the service as a container
  • Expose the application through a Shoal gateway

Architecture

The blueprint contains:

  • Container - Runs the file-upload application.
  • Bucket - Stores uploaded files.
  • Gateway - Routes incoming HTTP requests to the container.
  • Bucket connection - Provides the bucket configuration to the application at runtime.

Getting Started

  1. Deploy this blueprint in a Shoal environment.
  2. Wait for the deployment to complete.
  3. Open the gateway URL provided by Shoal.
  4. Use the upload form or send a request to the upload endpoint.
